YUM!

I created this beautiful white cake with a cluster of edible pearls for YUM. It's a new company in BC, specializing in dessert table decor.

I think we will be hearing a lot from them... The table looked so pretty! Enjoy it!

Gone with the wind...

I have to admit it... I love to make this cake again and again, so this time I wanted to make Scarlett O'Hara... I had a little bit of trouble with her hair, though. I couldn't find a Barbie with black curly hair, so I had to make her a wig... I think she looks quite pretty!

Then, I thought she needed a very dramatic cake...

Scarlett would have loved the red feathers, she wore feathers in most of her hats...
But then again, I thought Magnolias... mmm... beautiful flowers...I totally loved making those Magnolias...

But wait, what about something of a peach colour? Maybe roses? Very romantic? Peach roses and pearls, and handkerchiefs...

Or maybe, she would have like my cupcakes!

Frankly, Scarlett...!

Vintage rustic look...

I absolutely love the look of this cake! Funny, though, because I always tell students how important is to work with your spatula so your icing looks really smooth...
Well, this cake was not supposed to be perfect. It needed the rustic touch.
An amaretto cake filled with fresh raspberries... a pleasure to make... It smelled so nice!

Very glamorous! Milestone Events did a great job with this beautiful heritage building. Everything was so perfect... including the music, Spanish guitar by Toby ...
