The Sugar Beer Bottle Cake...

It's finally over... The sugar beer bottles got done! There was a lot of trial and error, but I was quite happy with the results... My husband helped me drinking all those beer, so I could make those latex molds...

I follow a very good tutorial from Kayla, in Youtube. It was very helpful, but I ended up doing my own thing, because I was getting a lot of breakage and collapsed bottles...

Also, I was able to get my ice really clear, which was nice... so, everything in that cake was edible, except for the labels and tops. Label colours weren't coming out the same when printing them on edible paper.

So, after that cake we came home to celebrate Chilean Independance Day : 18 de Septiembre. It was my father's birthday today, too. Everything very special. Guess what we celebrated with... Yes! You are right! With Kokanee... Salud!

I love my job...

This weekend, I have to make a beer bottle cake... So, first step is to make the mold out of a beer bottle... Well, the bottle has to be empty for that purpose... Guess who is taking care of that beer?

It's my birthday...!!!

AGAIN??? Yes! Again! Am I ever lucky! I have to thank you all my friends and family that have really make this birthday unforgetable! Thank you very much... All my love to you...

I fell in love tonight...

I absolutely LOVE this cake... We delivered it tonight and looked so beautiful... I couldn't wait to see the pictures... And here it is... A real beauty!!!

A Real German Chocolate Cake...

We were all wondering how was Jacqueline doing... Now, we know the truth... She was celebrating with a real German Chocolate Cake... Do you see that big smile? She celebrated her birthday eating that beautiful cake from the "Death By Chocolate" book...

Happy Belated birthday, dear friend!!! We miss you... But we know now you are quite happy in Dinosaurland, getting older and eating lutz and lutz of chocolate cake... Good for you!

She saved that sliver for me... Mmmm! Yummy!

Awesome Pirate's Castle...

I have been away from this blog for a good reason... Summer! But I have been accumulating some pictures to share with you. Like this awesome cake, designed by Stefan, during our "Kakes for Kids" class.

He absolutely loves blue, so he added a blue shell with a blue pearl inside... The castle was a pirate's castle... with 2 doors, turrets with pirate flags, and some gold on the top. The cake was the ocean, surrounded by coral and algae and blue pearls... Don't you love it?

I loved the cake, but I loved that big smile, too!
