Finally Halloween is here...Happy Halloween!

And this is my last Halloween cake... a mixture of Halloween and Lego cake. I love it! Happy Birthday Ronan! I love Halloween, but I love Lego, too!

Last night, while I was working on some Halloween cakes, we had a very unusual visitor... Moses came to our door, cold and wet. We let him in, dried him, gave him some milk and then he stayed... I guess for a sleepover... Very cute... Maybe he was just trick or treating... Who knows!
This morning, he had some milk again and then he left, very quietly... My kids are hoping he comes back for another visit... Whenever you feel like it, Moses!

Pumpkin soup...

I love Halloween! Look at this cauldron... We are making pumpkin soup! I hope you get LOTS of candy this weekend... Happy Halloween!

Now you don't need to go to England for your cake decorating supplies...

You can simply go to Dickens, in Chilliwack...

And have the surprise of your life... I went to Chilliwack looking for cake decorating supplies... And what did I find? A whole new world instead! (I should say a whole "old" world, instead). When we entered the store, the first thing I saw was an OMG old fashion candy store! My kind of store! Candies in all sort of colours, and chocolate, and, and... I couldn't believe it...

And before I could recuperate from my surprise, an extremely nice lady came along (her name is Anne), and started to show us the whole British museum she has created there... (00-Eyes popping here!). She is a genius!

Every single corner is packed with marvelous things to look at...

The Titanic collection is amazing! (We almost got locked up in that room because we lost track of time with so many amazing things to look at...)

And they even have a tea shop! You can simply go and enjoy a nice cup of tea with all sorts of goodies in a very relaxed atmosphere...

The only sad part of the story is that I didn't have time to buy any of their cake decorating supplies because they closed at 5pm... :(

Anyhow, I would strongly recommend this place. Go and visit it! You won't regret it... Go with your family, go with your kids... But go with plenty of time... and enjoy it!

Amelia...

On October 10, 2010, we had the pleasure of making these beautiful pink champagne cupcakes for Amelia and David. She was so sweet and kind to let us take a picture of her and the cupcakes. I love this picture! Everything looked so perfect at her wedding, that when she appeared, it was like the icing on the cake... Lovely!

The Chocolate Festival... already started!

It was nice to start celebrating with high tea this weekend at Rowena's Inn, Harrison Mills, BC. Absolutely delicious! And the place is fantastic... I will post more about it later, when I get the pictures sorted out.
For now, I just wanted to remind you not to miss this great opportunity of having fun and enjoying all those activities the West Coast Chocolate Festival has to offer... Check them out here!

Rescued...!

This is complete bliss! All the miners rescued and the whole country celebrating... And we are also celebrating here... Happy Birthdaay, Sweetie Pie! My dear husband, my dreamer, my cake driver :0 ... My friend! Guess what I am going to put on your cake? Rock candy... Oh, yes!

Absolutely amazing! My heart is with them and all their families... Thank God everything is going all right... For live broadcast click here...

I am not sleeping tonight, but that's all right... So far, at 5am, 10 miners have been rescued and reunited with their families... Such a miracle! And so many people making it happen....
