How to make a Fondant Bunny Rabbit

 Ready for the Easter Bunny?

We will start with the shape of an egg, any colour you like...

And then, you will need 5 white fondant balls: 4 pea size balls and 1 bigger ball for the head

So, with 2 of the white pea size balls, form feet and attach with edible glue

Now you will have the feet attached, you need to form the head with the bigger white fondant ball, and add a very small pink fondant ball for nose and mouth. Attach head with glue and you could add a fine spaghetti just in case. Add ears with edible glue and paint eyes with edible marker...

And now it is time to attach the arms which have been done out of 2 of the white pea size balls, as shown in picture 2.

You will probably will get carried away and add a little chick, too... Or a carrot...

Whatever you do, just have fun! And have a great Easter weekend!

Fondant bunny rabbit

Isn't she adorable? Tomorrow, I will be posting the photos to show you how to make this cute bunny rabbit with fondant. She is small enough to sit on a cupcake or small cake. I love her tiny fondant carrot! See you tomorrow!

Eating Daffodils!

When spring arrives, I feel like eating Daffodils! At least Daffodils made with royal icing. The icing on this cupcake is a "Vanilla Frosting Mix", made with natural ingredients. I had to try this icing I found at Whole Foods, among the Pamela's Products. It works quite well for piping. A little bit too sweet for me, but you might want to try it. The only thing you add is butter and water. See if it works for you!

How to make a Fondant Chick to decorate your Easter cupcakes...

As I promise, Elisa, here is the Fondant Chick Tutorial... You will need a small amount of white, yellow, and orange fondant.
Take the white fondant ball and, with your ball tool, make it into a small cup .  Flatten the sides.
With a sharp tool, knife, or scissors, cut the edges, so they look like a broken egg shell...
Take 2/3 of the yellow fondant ball, form it into a ball, and glue it with your edible glue to the egg shell.  Take the rest of the yellow fondant and form a ball for the head.  Glue it to the fondant body.
With orange fondant, form small beak and attach with edible glue.  Paint the eyes with a black food marker.
And it is ready!  You can add wings and flower on his head, if you want...
So?  Isn't he cute or what?  It's ready for your cupcakes... or brownies... or anything!
Happy Easter!
